[edit]Multiple report tools aready exist, maybe the problem is that they aren't enabled as gadgets on some wikis (XReport by TenWhile6)? Another option is TwinkleGlobal. A09|(pogovor) 12:12, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Depotadore: Hello, as A09 mentioned, multiple report tools already exist. Furthermore, the WMF Trust and Safety Product team is developing the Incident Reporting System. Do you think there's anything that can be improved or changed? Thanks. SCP-2000 14:34, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- I think those are all for more severe or clearer issues. I'm wondering if there are tools that detect if many of a user's edits are reverted and registers the user somewhere – recently I often reverted edits on WMC sometimes staying there for a year and I don't think the user is anyhow 'reported' so further edits get noticed (and checked). Another question is that often people on WMC move captions from one language to another, they seem to be doing this systematically as this is happening often from different accounts – why isn't this noticed? example Prototyperspective (talk) 20:47, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Moreover, there are boards where vandals can be easily reported such as c:Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Vandalism. Also the value in "Affected users" is flawed.
- Please either archive this wish as already done or edit it to a) fix the "Affected users" text and b) specify that gadgets that already do this should be enabled by default and also be available in other projects. Prototyperspective (talk) 11:24, 10 May 2025 (UTC)

More information
[edit]Hi @Depotadore can you please provide more information regarding the problems you face, and the potential ways you think we can solve this? JWheeler-WMF (talk) 16:45, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
Oppose
[edit]This should be left to the communities to decide how they want vandalism reporting to work, not have some solution forced upon them. * Pppery * it has begun 17:03, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
