I think it's a good idea. I thought about this issue of wikilink previews always only showing the lead but not the section info as well. However, iirc more often than not it's better if it displays the article lead and not the section. I think a good solution would be to display both somehow. For example, the preview could be larger and show both in the Preview. I think the best way for how these could be displayed is by showing the article lead by default but showing some button to move the preview to the next page / swipe it to the preview of the section. There's many cases where the section is more or only relevant at that place and it's a real problem that the Page Previews – one of Wikipedia's most useful and unique features – doesn't show info on the section. It could look like the In the news tile in the Wikipedia Android app where one can swipe to the next item. One could also configure how things are displayed and even configure it so that section intros are displayed by default for such links. Prototyperspective (talk) 22:38, 14 October 2024 (UTC)
