Already on the Design System Team roadmap

[edit]

Hey @Erasmo Barresi, I'm the product manager for the Design System Team, the team developing Codex. I'm happy to hear that you're interest in using Codex in wikitext. We've been thinking about this and are already tracking it over at phab:T363607. While it's not a current priority, it is on our roadmap and we can update this wish once it becomes an area of focus. @CCiufo-WMF Thank you! Feel free to update the wish as needed, or even to delete it if it would serve no purpose. However, I guess the issue should be not tackled too late, since, insofar as it is impossible to use Codex directly (i.e., the current version of Codex, with no mediation through templates or local css), editors are forced to come up with various solutions, resulting in inconsistencies at best and dysfunctional design at worst. I'm happy to keep the wish open. I just wanted to let you know it's already something we're thinking about, and if you have any suggestions you can leave them on the Phab task too. CCiufo-WMF 16:55, 22 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
