Discussion for W69: Improve accessibility proposed by Fresh Blood (talk)

Hello

[edit]

Hey @Fresh Blood - I've read this wish a few times, and am not sure how citations have accessibility issues. Could you clarify what you're suggesting or asking for? JWheeler-WMF (talk) 22:00, 5 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @JWheeler-WMF, sorry for the delay,I’ve just now seen your message.
To improve accessibility, I propose adding the “+Template” button to the reply interface, in both editing modes.
Additionally, it would be helpful to include a “Cite” button in the menu, similar to the one in Add a source, which allows users to insert citation templates like Cite book, Cite web, etc., with the option to fill them out manually or automatically.
These features would particularly support users with motor impairments or specific learning disorders (such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, or dysgraphia), by simplifying the citation process and improving usability. Fresh Blood (talk) 19:05, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
What is the “+Template” button? I don't understand what you're proposing. Prototyperspective (talk) 20:44, 14 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
