2024 Survey schedule?

[edit]

Is there a start date yet for the submission phase of the 2024 survey? Swpb (talk) 19:54, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to know as well. I've been working on proposals. StefenTower (talk) 21:03, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
@StefenTower, @Swpb we will have some information for you by the end of this week. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by the lack of updates. I hope your holidays were good. –– STei (WMF) (talk) 22:13, 2 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, no worries. Swpb (talk) 18:18, 3 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Any update about the work on the Top10 of 2023?

[edit]

Some wishes from the result page in the Top10 have no remark at all.

have no reaction at all, they are obviously completely neglected.

Has some mentioning of a hackathon, but that's it, as well neglected obviously. While stuff far behind in the wishlist is already done, what's the rational behind this? Grüße vom Sänger ♫(Reden) 14:12, 20 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Idea: Simplify the Publishing Process for New Editors on All Wikipedias

[edit]

Hi everyone,

I'm a new editor on the Japanese Wikipedia, and I recently wrote an article in my sandbox. Creating content is no longer the hardest part — AI tools help us structure and format easily. What truly overwhelmed me was the *publishing* process: it feels like a maze with no clear path, no intuitive buttons, and no step‑by‑step guidance. Many new contributors quit in that maze.

    • Request**

1. A simplified, visual “Publish your draft” workflow. 2. Clear feedback on what blocks publication (missing references, categories, etc.). 3. Optional wizard or checklist for first‑time contributors.

If we want more volunteers, we must lower this barrier. Thank you for considering!
