Talk:FindingGLAMs/Minor grants

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Here you can ask questions about the FindingGLAMs minor grants program.

What the grant can be used for[edit]

It's a bit unclear what kind of costs can be covered by the grant. If I do a training for librarians, can I pay them to attend, ie. cover some staff time? Or is it reserved for travel, renting a room, catering etc? Ainali (talk) 17:22, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the question. We have updated the text. Our idea is that no, the grant is not supposed to be used as compensation for the participants' time. @Ainali: --Alicia Fagerving (WMSE) (talk) 15:20, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

translation ǃ[edit]

Hi all, Could somebody please mark this page for translation into French ? About a third of African countries hold French as a national language. ping Matou91 et User:Benoit Rochon. If someone has time to even translate it that would be wonderful. If not, I could do it on wednesday. Best --Adelaide Calais WMFr (talk) 13:11, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Adélaïde Calais WMFr: @Matou91: @Benoit Rochon: – the page is marked for translation now. Note that the application form itself is not translatable, as we don't have the capacity to handle applications/communication in French, but we hope that this way at least the information can reach more community members. Thank you for your offer to help! :) --Alicia Fagerving (WMSE) (talk) 09:28, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Salut@Adélaïde Calais WMFr: un peu sous l'eau en ce moment, mais n'hésite pas à écrire à traduction[at]wikimedia.fr pour demander un coup de main. Matou91 (talk) 12:18, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
