Talk:Fundraising 2007/Why Give blog

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki
Clarification of who is "we". The blog posts do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Foundation, or more specifically the opinion of the board; The posts can be submitted by anyone, and are approved by Erik only. 90.52.170.38 13:20, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cary Bass, Sue Gardner, Sandy Ordonez, Delphine Ménard, and I all have the ability to post directly to the blog; if we get repeat submissions of high quality from particular authors we'd be more than happy to give them full posting rights.--Eloquence 09:42, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"The posts will be provocative and diverse." - that's cool. I wanted to add "provocative and diverse" comment, but it seems that comments on the blog are heavily moderated. Could you add this info somewhere on the blog, please? 217.10.140.20 00:15, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
When I moderate, I delete a) nonsense, b) personal attacks, c) Wikipedia Review type conspiracy theories. If you look at the "OMG" post, you'll notice that we've not deleted any criticism, even if it lacks substance.--Eloquence 09:42, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So those blogs that are in the "selected for cleanup/posting" are kind of queued for a while, while those posts made by the main bloggers are posted spontaneously? ----Anonymous DissidentTalk 09:51, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty much. We still have until December 22 at least, so the more posts we have to choose from until then, the better. We might even continue the blog in some form.--Eloquence 10:06, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
