Question
How global locks works. And about the message on top of the contribution page saying "This account is globally locked. See global account details for more information", how is this achieved? Toadette (chat) 10:13, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- User will be forcefully logged out. They'll not be able to log back again 122.104.180.11 10:46, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Too late, I now understand how locks work. ToadetteEdit (talk) 08:18, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
Vanished users
@Pppery while I agree that such requests shouldn't really exist [1], I recently had a case (Special:GlobalRenameQueue/request/126351) where someone requested to vanish their account using Special:GlobalRenameRequest instead of Special:GlobalVanishRequest. I fulfilled the request and locked the account manually. Johannnes89 (talk) 15:25, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
- Apparently that sometimes happens. But I think that abberation can be left undocumented. * Pppery * it has begun 15:27, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
