Copyedit of the user list table

Hi all, would anyone object to changing the "bureaucrat on" column to "home wiki"? It seems to make more sense now that we're routinely appointing non-crat renamers. At this point, there's really no relation between being a bureaucrat and renamer, as even the special provision for appointment is now removed. – Ajraddatz (talk) 18:01, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

I think it has a historical reason: when the table was created in the transition period, only bureaucrats become global renamers. I can support to change it to home wiki. Samat (talk) 21:13, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
This is untrue. However, I agree with the conclusion, but think language information is more important than homewiki information. --Vogone (talk) 21:32, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
@Samat, I remember the historical reason. I was even the one to create this page in the first place :-). The language info is there already; I just wondered if it would be worth keeping homewiki information so it was possible to find renamers based on knowledge of local policy and involvement in specific projects as needed. – Ajraddatz (talk) 21:46, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
Do we even need the homewiki field? I wouldn't mind getting rid of that column entirely. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 00:19, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I was trying to imply I personally don't really need the homewiki information. Others might find it useful in case of wikis which still handle renames partly decentralised, but I doubt users in need of this information would even look for this on metawiki in the first place. --Vogone (talk) 00:49, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
That's true. I don't mind either way. TBH I thought some people would want to keep some of that information there, but removing it works too. – Ajraddatz (talk) 05:52, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

I need to change my username

I need to change my name, to remove a block, can someone please help me? FireStarterInc. (talk) 18:03, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

@FireStarterInc.: Hello. Please fill out the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest and we will proceed with the rename. Regards, --Vogone (talk) 18:13, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

Thank you so much Vogone! I am new to this, and I'm finding it a bit scary, but also exciting to learn something new. I am so grateful to everyone, who is helping with their expertise. I think if I really study, how it's done, I can participate, and make fewer mistakes. Thanks again! FireStarterInc. (talk) 18:35, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

No rename since Nov 20th

I didn't really expect this [1] to end on schedule, but its overdue 10 days now and we've got a kinda backlog of requests. (No answer required, just wanted to state my grievance.) Regards, --MBq (talk) 14:15, 5 December 2016 (UTC)

I don't know are you subscribed to the mailing list. There it was said that it will take longer. A few more weeks. Stryn (talk) 14:41, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
I share in your grievances. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 14:42, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Apparently the maintenance script is suspended for the moment; thanks to User:Kaldari we've been enabled to do renamings in the meantime. :-j --MBq (talk) 05:29, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
