Internally Linking to a history page?[edit]

I have a page in my company mediawiki which is automatically generated whenever external tasks complete. I want to insert a Template:Page and present the contents as a link to the history of that page, but I can't see how to do [[Template:page?action=history|{{page}}]] Any ideas?

This is not a help page to answer such questions, that is more for mediawiki.org. It would also seem that you should be looking at mw:Help:Magic words  — billinghurst sDrewth 11:46, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The French version of the page defining "husband"[edit]

The french word "vielli" to define an old French word is incorrect. It means "gotten old" and should in fact be "ancien" or "ancien français" Jldm001 (talk) 13:56, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

M.C Escher[edit]

I believe I own a Tube of lithographs of M.C. Escher Art , given to me by a friend of his. Were would one take lithographs to have them placed in a Museum.

Asterisk[edit]

One (often the latest) edit on the page history may be marked with an asterisk (example: https://www.prepaid-wiki.de/wiki/index.php?title=Callmobile&action=history). This help page should explain what it means. --Patagonier (talk) 22:54, 27 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Group same users' successive edits[edit]

It would be nice if it could be possible to group same users' successive edits to avoid cluttering. It would also be nice to select and undo sets of edit because currently it is really time-consuming to undo successive vandalisms even if from the same user, in particular on Wikidata. It is even difficult to find them actually. Example

Semi-protected edit request on 21 July 2020[edit]

Please change "last" to "prev" ...

"5.(last) takes you to a diff page showing the changes between that edit and the previous version"

should be

"5. (prev) takes you to a diff page showing the changes between that edit and the previous version

Making the decision to revert[edit]

Who exactly makes the decision to revert to the original. I (on behalf of a committee) replaced an exiting one-paragraph entry on our former employer (Economic Council of Canada) with several paragraphs more fully capturing the Council, including its governance, its origins and demise, its contributions, and its (close to) total output over its almost 30 years of existence. I described our reasons for this change and published the change. Yet when i returned to it a couple of days later, it had reverted to the previous version, with our new version now existing only as a previous revision. In fact, people are welcomed to expand on it, as the existing entry was a stub.

(NOTE: i did not sign up as I welcome other former colleagues making changes on their own without always asking me. Or is that problem here - the person making the original revision did not agree?) 2607:FEA8:C347:300:692A:A20A:6567:6555 17:33, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
