Kanuri, a Wiki that never had its chance[edit]

I need to ask why Kanuri Wikipedia was closed. This was but a young wiki, struggling to turn into a full-developed wiki. It was at its sleeping stage, where a wiki is static and unable to function. The admin hadn't arrived yet, and it had become "asleep", so it couldn't do a thing. And let's see the admin's surprise when he arrives to the wiki and sees a label saying that it's closed. And don't just say stuff like "Too bad, that happens to a lot of wikis." This is the first wiki to be closed by voting. Other wikis had a reason, like fictional languages and moving away. I have no idea, whom you mean by "the admin", which "hasn't arrived yet". Any Kanuri speakers are welcome to re-open it, whenever they wish. It is present state, the Wiki was merely a target for spambots and vandals. The closure has been discussed for about six months. During this period, no potential contributors have turned up. Oppose closing kr.wikipedia
  1. Oppose Oppose dormant wikis are harmless, one wiki should be permanently deleted only if the users are destroying it. just give it more time, maybe kanuri speakers just don't know the existence of this. Greek Fellows 12:23, 12 February 2012 (UTC+8)

Oppose Oppose I don't think that this wiki should be closed, if users will work, this wiki won't die, on this wiki are 122 activeusers, on ro.wn are only 7 and this wiki survives, this affixes that the problem of hz.wp is work and if the users from hz.wp will work, this wiki will survive.
