Talk:Requests for comment/Rights and closed wikis

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Progress[edit]

As the discussion has stagnated in October 2010 and all comments are in agreement each other I suggest to implement this in one week from now; if nobody objects. --dferg ☎ talk 11:18, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What is the current state of this proposal? I take it that it hasn't been implemented yet? Maximillion Pegasus 19:53, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nor has the erstwhile !policy that "Useful content of closed wikis are imported to the Wikimedia Incubator." I assume this is because (A) nobody has undertaken to sort out which content is useful and which is not, and (B) volunteers and staff are understandably more interested in working with active projects than cleaning up after closed ones. ~ Ningauble 18:54, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Time to close?[edit]

^^ -- Dferg ☎ talk 16:45, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. Btw, I suggest to add to the hopefully-soon-to-be-policy User:SPQRobin/Closing projects, something like "User rights are removed but will be restored in case of re-opening." SPQRobin (talk) 00:36, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Closed[edit]

I've closed the RfC. In the "Result" section is my rationale which of course can be disputed if you think a) it's not correct, b) you think any other person should have closed this, c) other reasons. -- Dferg ☎ talk 20:10, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
