Ro.wiki admins under demote process

I have objections against the request as there is no indication that the rules which are applied have any validity. If there is a procedure to request permissions there should also be one to voice objections. The system cannot be one-sided. Afil 02:42, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

The stewards do not make decisions regarding permissions, the actual granting of permissions is done on the local wiki, and once consensus has developed there, a trusted member of the community comes here to have that community decision implemented. If you disagree with the decision, that should be done on your local project. ~Kylu (u|t) 19:56, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Cleanup requests

Since stewards apparently don't like to give users temporary sysop rights if their only intent is to clean up the CSD because they'd rather do it themselves, is there a way to submit such cleanup requests or do you have to write a request here and wait until a steward reads it, cleans up and then rejects the request? -- Prince Kassad 21:00, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

I think you want Vandalism reports for vandalism and Multilingual speedy deletions for CSD's. ~Kylu (u|t) 04:05, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Rollback feature

Is this page a good place for requesting the activation of Rollback feature in a local Wikimedia project? (e.g. fa Wikipedia)? Thanks in advance for your attention. --Mrostam 18:56, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

No, such requests should be taken to the bugzilla, once there is a community consensus for such a user right. --FiLiP ¤ 18:59, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Global request

Hi, I see the global request section is not yet active, can someone comment on the status of that (I would really like to request global rollback to revert xwiki-spammers). --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 15:14, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Request template

I propose using sr-request for all requests on this page. The template provides links to the account's contributions and logs, a bureaucrat activity analysis script, the local bot policy (if implemented), and can easily be extended with various tools and links, and simplifies usage:

Current
Username@wiki
I request sysop access.
*Language Code: xx
*Local Request Link: :xx:Project:wiki
*Automatic List of local bureaucrats: :xx:Project:Special:Listusers/bureaucrat
*Local User Page: xx:User:Example

Thank you. ~~~~
Proposed
Username@wiki
I request sysop access. Thank you. ~~~~

The template is already standard on Steward requests/Bot status, where it has much streamlined the process. —{admin} Pathoschild 17:15:53, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I like that, thanks for making this, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 17:17, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Ditto. Now that it's pasted in the right place :) ++Lar: t/c 16:54, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Implemented. I also added a magic link to Special:Userrights with the user@prefix correctly filled out (using a redirect at toolserver.org/~pathoschild/redirspecial). No more guessing or looking up prefixes! :) —{admin} Pathoschild 01:13:40, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
