Wikisource[edit]

Wikisource ist still listed under "Projects without language subdomains" and doesnt appear in the table. But Wikisource now does have language subdomains. Please update. Mutante 10:30, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiversity[edit]

Wikiversity needs to be added as a project with language subdomains. -- sj · translate · + 00:04, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ISO 639 code column[edit]

I also vote for the previous request "add ISO 15924 column to the list".

In addition I would need to see a mapping column to ISO 639 codes. Atm there is a lot of guesswork. I failed to find a mapping table that links wikipedia domain names to ISO 639 codes. It's a mix for historical reasons. There are ISO 639-1 codes (for example en as in en.wikipedia.org), there are ISO 639-2 codes, and there are ISO 639-3 codes (for example hif, ext). It is not possible to visually distinguish 639-2 from 639-3. In addition there are some non-standard codes. At least these are documented here http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wikipedias#Nonstandard_language_codes and here http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Language_code

So the column would need to specify the ISO 639 version number. That would be one of "639-1", "639-2T" (or B, i did not find information about which is used), "639-3", or "Other". If the domain name does not match the language code (for example als.wikipedia.org) then the column could say "639-3:gsw".
