It might be worth noting the rejection of Grants:Laura Hale, Courcelles, Hawkeye7, Chzz/Outreach Oceania which specifically targeted a number areas addressed in this and developed a fair amount of curriculum support materials for use by educators. I think the rejection of a major initiative that could have been a great pilot program developed by members of the community, implemented by members of the community, with support from a chapter is worth noting. It was a low cost project that ultimately required little investment on the part of WMF. It targeted a part of the Global South which was not being served by the WMF, and would have offered opportunities for partnerships. So yeah, I think the rejection of a small funding request going to this area is worth stating. --LauraHale 23:07, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
