Proposal scope

Chemical compounds and reactions are already within the scope of Wikipedia (e.g. w:Carbon tetrachloride; w:Haber process). What value would this project provide above what is already available at Wikipedia?

Language

What would the language of the project be? How is this different from having everything about chemistry in Wikidata and then explained in each Wikipedia version? Theklan (talk) 11:29, 20 February 2026 (UTC)

Wikichem does already exist as proposal since 2014

There is already Wikichem from 2014 (with lower case c, instead of now capital C) Der-Wir-Ing ("DWI") talk 00:57, 23 February 2026 (UTC)
