Conference registration fee

Can there be an inclusion of the conference registration fee and location. This would be helpful for those of us who can organize travel ourself and to make the scholarships available to others. Shyamal (talk) 04:43, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

@Shyamal ji, Thank you for this thoughtful suggestion; we understand how having clarity on registration and location details can help participants plan, especially those who may wish to self-fund and enable broader access to scholarships.

At present, the conference structure does not include a separate registration fee component in this way. Self-funded participants will be able to register once registrations open, which is planned shortly after the completion of the scholarship allocation process. They are expected to independently arrange and cover their travel and accommodation. The organising team will continue to cover conference registration and provide meals (lunch and refreshments) during the official program days.

Regarding the venue, we are currently not publicly disclosing the exact location in line with event safety protocols. However, we’re happy to share more context about the city/locality for those who have been confirmed after the completion of the trust and safety check.- Please feel free to reach out to us at connect@wikiconference.in for further details. Applicants who were not selected...

Will scholarship applicants who were not selected be notified by email? If so, when will you send it? BabulB (talk) 15:34, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi @BabulB,

Yes, all applicants who were not selected for a scholarship will also be notified by email.

The Scholarship Committee is currently completing the final round of confirmations and registrations from selected applicants. Once that process is concluded, we will send notifications to applicants who were not selected.

We expect to send these communications within the next two weeks and will also post an update on the Meta page once the process is completed.

Thank you for your patience and for your interest in WikiConference India 2026. -- Chinmayee Mishra (talk) 18:31, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
