• This would be amazing. Btw I'm still pissed Duolingo shut down its community forums, they were so helpful and wholesome, and axing the incubator meant axing two courses on underrepresented languages (one of which was Xhosa, can't remember the other). Since then, Duolingo's not added a single language, and explicitly focuses on the 5 or so most dominant ones. Not to mention they've replaced the courses with AI slop. There's a big gap in the 'market' for something like this, and I'd expect there to be a lot of interest from prospective contributors. Kowal2701 (talk) 22:20, 14 August 2026 (UTC)

• I would reach out to Amqui who drafted the previous Wikilang proposal, and the many people who signed on with interest. You can merge these proposals easily enough and make something wonderful. –SJ talk  22:43, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
