Organizational experience[edit]

I edited the third set of bullets a bit to make them more parallel with one another, adding (for 'Chapter support') "please indicate any experience with logistics and financial accountability for events of similar scope". It seems to me this is the sense in which Chapter support differs from the more all-encompassing Organizational support. SJ · talk | translate 04:26, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Should the criteria ask for specific experience w/ financial matters, reporting, &c?[edit]

In some past years there have been teams with limited experience in financial matters, and occasionally financial loose ends that are resolved under pressure or have to be cleaned up after Wikimania. The importance of making sure all parts of an event are above-board grows slightly each year with budget size and global visibility.

Does it make sense to suggest minimum requirements for some of these things? For instance, "each bid must be backed by an organization with a record of financial accountability and transparency (such as audited statements for two years)"? And what would 'backed by' mean in this case? SJ · talk | translate 04:43, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How about greenhouse gas emissions as criterion?[edit]
