HI, the Wikimania COT has been reviewing your application can some one please clarify what the purpose of graphic designs are given that https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikimania_2021_symbols has been created.

Changes requested[edit]

I have a question about possible changes in the Wikimania 2021 grant scope and timeline. Since we have some unspent funds from the grant left we would like to spend them to add Polish translation to some videos from Wikimania and by that making them more accessible for the part of our community who did not participate in Wikimania due to language barrier.

  • can we use the unspent funds for paying for the translation of community picked sessions?
  • because the sessions are still being uploaded to Commons we would not be able start adding the translations now (I'm not sure when the Wikimania team will finish the whole upload) so we would need some time to make it happen (what we can do now is collect the sessions of interest, prepare the translations and upload the subtitles when the sessions are finally on Commons) so we would need some time to finish the grant. @Natalia Szafran-Kozakowska (WMPL) noting here that the updated grant end date is 31 December 2021 with the new report due date as 31 January 2022. Feel free to submit the grant report earlier if the activities are also completed earlier. Alternatively, let us know if more time is needed, especially with respect to the dependencies to be completed before WMPL's work with uploading the translations can be completed.
