Postponement of AI Main Deliverable

In accordance with conversations and validation of the Strategic Subcommittee of the axis (Re)imagine the sociotechnical infrastructure of the Wikimedia Movement at the end of June, which highlighted the need for a critical, context-aware approach to Artificial Intelligence (AI) aligned with the Foundation's newly released AI strategy, the Main Deliverable titled AI Integration for Wikimedia: Prospecting Methodology AI Integration for Wikimedia: Prospection Methodology is to be formally postponed to 2026. The subcommittee members emphasized the importance of developing an autonomous stance on AI and acknowledged that this postponement allows for a more robust, ethically grounded project in alignment with the Movement values.
