Final review

Hi,

Apologies for taking so long in reviewing your proposal, but it was very specific and involved a lot of communication with finding community members in Bulgaria.

Although you and then we established contacts with the Bulgarian community (through Village pump and email), we did not find anyone interested from that community to join in your project. Because of this, we cannot support your proposal, as this is against our rules to not support personal grants and grants without cooperation with the community (in this case, local community).

When I am using the term personal grants, we are referring to travelling in different countries, so if you choose to take photos in Poland there will be different responses. Additionally, this project cannot be replicated in Bulgaria, as we will not involve any community members from Bulgaria, and that will not help their community.

I struggle to find the grounds for this rejection in the grant rules. If anything, I thought that supporting CEE content will be met with a positive response, especially given that the local community is less vibrant. If there is a way to appeal, I will. Galileo01 (talk) 14:57, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
