Talk:Wikimedia Chapters Association/Election committee

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Members that volunteered on the WCA session should be added. Unfortunately, not everyone was identified by their names in the WCA minutes, so I won't try to do the original research. --Oop (talk) 23:16, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What is the current status of this committee? The page was edited in December, but the timeline is out of date. SJ talk  06:27, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi SJ, Markus has stepped in to coordinate as Raul was less available as a volunteer to lead the committee over the last month. This committee is active, and the Association is relying on them to coordinate with Stefan to assure the Secretary General recruitment process, and make some timely decisions on process as they arise. As an example, one governance process I am delegating to this committee is to assess any possible conflict of interest that needs to be declared or managed for SG applications, in the event that some applicants may be known to prospective members of the interview panel, or those helping with deciding on the short-list of candidates.
The page certainly does needs an update in line with coordinating emails that have gone back and forth recently, and I suggest Markus handles that shortly so that our community stays as much in the loop as possible. Thanks for highlighting the issue. -- (talk) 06:54, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
