Talk:Wikimedia Chapters Association/Statements/2012-11 Wikimedia Foundation narrowing its Focus

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Maybe we could add something along the lines (of course in proper English...): "The WCA recognizes that narrowing the focus of WMF puts some extra responsibility on the chapters and the WCA as an umbrella organization. We also realize the urgency for the WCA to become a legal body. Therefore the WCA will increase its efforts to build its organizational structures and do everything possible to meet the expectations and its duties in the rearranged Wikimedia world." --Mglaser (talk) 22:25, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay for me - I would like to ask Fæ is he could do some copy editing and add that paragraph. --Manuel Schneider(bla) (+/-) 08:35, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Done Integrated similar words into the last paragraph. Hopefully this highlights the same point. -- (talk) 16:39, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot. I think we should close editing of the statement soon, maybe send a last reminder on the lists and then, say tomorrow, publish this statement. --Manuel Schneider(bla) (+/-) 16:42, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, just sent out an email to the Chapters list suggesting that this closes on 20th November unless there are major objections. I'm going to be firmly tied up over the weekend in a long and intense WMUK board meeting, so I wanted to give a bit of wiggle-room to respond to any further re-writes on Monday. Thanks -- (talk) 16:56, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I am fine with that, no problem :-) --Manuel Schneider(bla) (+/-) 18:58, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Fae, thanks for "implementing" my suggestions. The wording is great! --Mglaser (talk) 23:04, 15 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Emails[edit]

I had a couple of comments by email that I need to pay attention to. I may bring these points here for discussion before considering taking this statement to 'published' status. Thanks -- (talk) 17:57, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
