[edit]Welcome to the wikis, Bernadette :) May the road be long and well-lit. –SJ talk 23:25, 10 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks @Sj for the warm welcome. It was lovely to see you in Frankfurt. BMeehan-WMF (talk) 18:10, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
Some resources
[edit]Welcome! I have some apprehension about a former US government official leading such an international and diverse project, but I promise to keep an open mind. I’d encourage everyone to share their favorite resources and essays:
- The Wikipedia Revolution - by Andrew Lih
- Biweekly community English Wikipedia newspaper en:Wikipedia:The Signpost
Improving mobile editing and multimedia are two most urgent technical undertakings that you can make a stamp in. Shushugah (talk) 14:23, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks @Shushugah - I really appreciate the resources and your recommendations on the urgent areas for technical improvements. I know the PTAC have also discussed improved mobile experiences and I have seen it come up in the annual plan discussions for the Foundation's plan for the next year.
- I've had the chance to meet Andrew in person and talk with him, and have also begun engaging with the Signpost. I hope to connect with other community news outlets too - let me know what else you follow to keep up? BMeehan-WMF (talk) 18:14, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
