Talk:Wikimedia Foundation Board Governance Committee/Agenda 2012-2013

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

oh I'm glad to see advisory board already listed in the Agenda. I was about to write something about it somewhere, glad to know its on other people's radar too. One thing worth adding is perhaps considering opening up the board committees? Board already has a lot of individual areas to oversee, some have internal committees, I would think opening all those areas with limited community seats would help both sides, get more participation and openness, and also get someone to do the grunt work for the board. This can actually help the board divide different areas among them, this might be based on their own interest or areas that need oversight, and 2-3 board member each can go off and form their own committee with community members. This would reduce the burden on them, and make sure they are kept abreast of the issues and developments of the day. Theo10011 (talk) 14:32, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
