Wikivoyage[edit]

James, I know it's just an example, but can we please stop using Wikivoyage as example? if you want to make a neutral example, pick the second most visited Wikimedia project, i.e. Wiktionary, or the second with most active editors, i.e. Wiktionary or Wikisource. Sorry for the tangential nitpick but I feel it's important and I don't know where else to say it. --Nemo 12:45, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Nemo bis: I use Wikivoyage as an example because they actually have different, reasonable editing-related technical needs which aren't yet met by VisualEditor (listings) and aren't already underway at least on the conceptual level (for example, Tpt and I have discussed how we would make a ProofreadPage integration for VisualEditor, so Wikisource is covered; we're already planning on the upload and gallery tools, so Commons is covered). To date, despite repeated requests, we've had no serious feedback from several of the sister projects as to whether VisualEditor is "ready" or needs extra tools for them.
