Hello. Could you clarify what the numbers are in this formula, please:

  • ((790,000+69,000) - (515,000+46,000))/(515,000 + 46,000))*100 = 53% growth rate.

I presume €790k is expected this year from the fundraiser, and €515k is last year - but where are the €69k and €46k from? Apologies if I've failed to spot the explanation for these numbers elsewhere. Thanks. Mike Peel 22:18, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the 69K€ and 46K€ are the amounts collected directly by the Wikimedia Foundation on French territories: overseas territories, geolocation errors near the borders, choice of donors etc. --Serein 11:27, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ah - thanks. :-) Mike Peel 11:30, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
More specifically.... 46k is the amount collected by WMF last year directly on French territories. 69k is a projection based on similar errors with same percentage than last year. Note that in 2010, the 50% sharing of revenue was both sides (WMF gave 50% of its revenues and Wikimedia France gave 50% of its revenue. In 2011, WMF will keep 100% of the 69k (estimation)) user:Anthere 09:45, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
