Ping[edit]

Here is a ping to participants @Michaelgraaf, Bluerasberry, Haxpett, Jeb, Taniamaio, RemoRivelli, John Cummings, Marajozkee, Ad Huikeshoven, Alessandra Boccone, Shanluan, and Moheen: that the vote has started. Ainali (talk) 18:33, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removing two proposals[edit]

@Siebrand, Sadads, DDJJ, Kattiel, Husky, Grijz, Mx Lucy, Jane023, and Premeditated: The discussion around Proposal E makes me want to remove Proposal E and C from the vote. Not for particular legal reasons, but rather to be inline with the guideline of UN around the logo. It would probably be harmful to break a guideline from the organization that we are very likely to want to collaborate with in the future. Please place your votes on any of the other proposals. To make up for this, I also suggest to expand the voting time to the 24th of December. Ainali (talk) 08:03, 17 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Siebrand, Sadads, DDJJ, Kattiel, Husky, Grijz, Mx Lucy, Jane023, and Premeditated: I probably messed up the last ping, here is a new try. Ainali (talk) 06:59, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I substantially disagree with this: the logo is far enough away from the original not to be confused with the SDG logo which is the intent of the guidelines by the UN (if the colors or design elements were substantially the same, I would agree, but this is about talking the same visual vocabulary of the SDGs and making them very much Wikimedian with the color, design and integration with our work). @Sadads: Did you see this logo that was mentioned in the comments? Ainali (talk) 20:29, 18 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am not fully bought into that decision to remove it -- I don't think the arguments here or on the image page are actually grounds for removing it: but happy to concede if that is consensus. Sadads (talk) 17:47, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
