I removed this: "The Arbitration Committee is theoretically elected in a wikirepublican manner, but in practice, so many ArbCom deliberations and investigations take place in secret that it may be difficult for users to hold the Arbitrators accountable for their decisions. The evidence and arguments in support of various actions are not always open to public scrutiny. Therefore, it is hard to assess whether users' trust in their elected officials is misplaced or not" because the ArbCom could theoretically be pressured by the electorate to open up its operations to scrutiny.
