    • We transfer all the words from the french reactionary to the test Wiktionary in Chaoui. We have now about 900 words.
    • We are in the next 2 steps: translating in English and to the native language. And creating design and template for the project.

Reda Kerbouche, provide a strategic approach for including minority languages in Wikimedia projects with the exemple of the Tacawit Wiktionary. It will show how a project contributed to the revival of the Shawi language through Wikimedia projects (voice recordings, Wiktionary workshops, Wikidata inclusion, Commons downloads, Wikimedia-based Shawi language MOOCC, course).

MOOC in Tacawit and contest[edit]

the Tacawit Awal, is a contest directly related to the Wiktionary and to the Tacawit language. the first edition will begin in 2019. The concept of this contest is similar to the Edit-a-thon and other contest doing for Wikipedia, every participant can add the number of words in Tacawit that he wants. the goal of the contest is to collect the largest number of the words, to save the language and to put it online for all that is interested in.

  • At Marrakesh in Morroco the Tamazight participants do a Workshop learning Tifinagh the presentation was done by Abdellah Bouzandag. Over then 15 participants was there. Abdellah create a course with exercises for the participants.


  • And also at this conference we had one official representative of the UG Zinou Yahoui. Zinou expose the project and what we will do in the future.
