The impact of WMNO’s work is achieved through collaborations between different communities and partner organizations and for the upcoming funding period we will continue to build on the work, partnerships and experience from the funding period 2017-2018. To start aligning our work to the new movement strategic direction with service and equity as the two cornerstones WMNO will focus on diversity in the upcoming funding period. Norway, and the other Nordic countries are among the most equal societies in the world. This gives WMNO’s work on gender gap a very good starting point and relevant context that will help our work when it comes to engagement, partnerships, media attention and national funding. The Sami parliament in Norway is an important and well-funded state organization and in other Nordic countries with Sami population the situation is more complex. That gives WMNO the benefit of a structure of organizations in the Norwegian society that we can work with as well as national funding opportunities.
