Sometimes too wide in talk page replies

Your change seems to make the width a lot better in the vast majority of cases, but perhaps a little too wide in some cases. When used in my comments on that "RFC", the horizontal indentation is not honored; unless one would have an extremely large viewport, the quote starts too much to the left, without respecting the left margin.

Is this because I am misusing it? Or is this something which should be fixed or documented? The same problem does not affect User_talk:SHB2000#Your_conduct, so I am not sure how talk pages differ. I would be surprised if that was related, but I will note that classic Wikimedia threads (indented with colons) use incorrect HTML, since the dl/dd elements are semantically meant to represent definitions. --Chealer (talk) 01:40, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
