Should completed translation be listed here - or every case where the page exists, even if it is just started? // habj 09:45, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it better to have both in one and same list, "all the page exists" borrowing your words, 1) it will be more convinient for translators to reach their workspace, 2) if we have two lists, you need to update them manually, and perhaps frequently and workload will be too much for everyone.

However your question suggests a good point, I think. If the list make a distinction between completed traslations and on-going ones, for examle, enbolded ones and not, it will be great. Habj, are you interested in do such a modification? --Aphaia 10:02, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have a good overview of all the pages and templates that are related to the translations of statements and other election pages. However, at Template:Election translations 2006/Candidates, the candidate statement pages that exist are listed automatically - in that links to the pages are blue or red. A manual duplicate of what is obtained automatically seems unnecessary, and besides duplication of info on several places usually means at least one of them will not be updated.
If I understand the network of subpages and templates correctly, the content of this page is shown on pages meant for voters, while the other template is aimed at the translators. Is it a good idea to merge them, and change the manual list under "quickview" to only list pages where all paragraphs are translated? I agree it will look a bit heavy on the pages, but it will be unambigous and everyone will find all the info. // habj 11:02, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
i've bolded ready translations as I know : all en and eo (but Hadraj) and mine when ready. About the other please transalators check if the translations are complete or not. I think it's not necessary to merge both lisst because as you said one is aimed to voters the other to translators. bolding complete translations in this template is useful to give information to voters and to translators if translations are complete or not. I have bolded the Swedish finished ones. If many beginner Meta translators finds it all to confusing to find or bother to add theirs, I guess it will show. // habj 12:10, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
did you notice i've created subpages Election_candidates_2006/<candidate>/Translations to follow if translations are ready or not ? But I'm the only one which use it for myself ! AL  11:15, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think I noticed them or some of them (but missed ...). I love your idea but there is no means to reach them quickly for now. I think the voters need not to know that, but it will be helpful for translators. Arno, can you provide link(s) to them in a more visible way from ... for example ... this page/template? --Aphaia 11:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do not follow you, Arno. For instance, Election_candidates_2006/Mindspillage/Translations does not exist. What pages are you referring to? // habj 12:10, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
it's to be mannualy created. the only existing is Election_candidates_2006/ArnoLagrange/Translations which I edit regulary and take up to date. Please create the other pages, if you need them. AL  12:22, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Election_candidates_2006/Mindspillage/Translations appears piped in Template:Election_translations_2006/Candidates as + AL  13:29, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lay-out[edit]

I don't understand why Eloquence's translations are italic. There really are 3 ', not 2... Fruggo 18:40, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
