The Wiki Walkthrough

The Wiki Walkthrough
[edit]The Wiki Walkthrough is a Wikimedia outreach and education initiative focused on empowering new and aspiring contributors—especially from Africa and underserved communities—to understand and actively participate in contributing to Wikimedia projects like Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and more.
We combine clear video tutorials with on-the-ground training, mentorship, and community engagement to help bridge the gap from passive readers to confident editors.
Mission
[edit]To make Wikimedia projects accessible and practical by providing step-by-step guidance, localized training, and mentorship — transforming readers into editors, especially in underrepresented regions.
