The Wikipedia Library/Newsletter/July-August 2024
In this issue we highlight a new partner, a Wikimania presentation, a script for searching The Wikipedia Library, and, as always, a roundup of news and community items related to libraries and digital knowledge.
Partner announcements
[edit]The Wikipedia Library is announcing free access to a new partner:

See all available partners on your My Collections page.
Wikimania
[edit]The Wikipedia Library delivered a lightning talk at Wikimania 2024 in Katowice, Poland. The talk highlighted some of the new partnerships the library has added in the past year—including JAMA, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, and more—and highlighted opportunities for collaboration.
Tech tip: Search-WPL script
[edit]Diegodlh has created a script that you can use to search The Wikipedia Library from within Wikimedia projects. The script adds a Wikipedia Library logo next to the Wikimedia search bar; clicking on this logo will send your search query to the Library Card Platform Search.
To install the user script add the following line to Special:MyPage/common.js:
mw.loader.load( '//meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Diegodlh/search-wpl.js?action=raw&ctype=text/javascript' );
Note that this script is maintained by a volunteer contributor, not the Wikipedia Library team, and may change without notice. Importing a remote script in the manner described above is susceptible to malicious code injection if the host account is compromised.
