Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiy Pratishthan's Savitribai Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal draws inspiration and direction from the great visionary and social reformist Savitribai Jyotina Phule. It is active across the rural and urban landscape of Aurangabad in 98 villages and the densely populated slums of the city. It provides tangible solutions to the various challenges faced by the poor and underprivileged population through more than 30 social initiatives. Over the years Savitribai Phule Mahila Ekatma Samaj Mandal has helped consolidate, strengthen and extend the network of projects. Every project is human centric, thoroughly researched and designed for sustainable development. While the Trust continues to play the role of catalyst, the real 'Change-Makers' are the Community Members themselves. Each project is customized and need based. Every time the organization comes across a new challenge, it looks for simple and practical solutions. The approach has led to the formation of path breaking initiatives that have bridged the gap and helped people live healthier and happier lives. Project Goal[edit]

The goal of this Wikipedia Workshop is to build resources in the field of rural development & women empowerment on Marathi Wikipedia and equip its participants with the process of contributing to Wikipedia, and to introduce it as a concept to them. Another focus of the workshop will be on village articles.

Primary goals

To introduce Wikipedia as an encyclopedia for research and a concept to new editors.
To Promote Marathi Wikipedia Community & promote the use of regional languages in Wikipedia.
To have an open interaction within the editors, existing as well as new.
To spread the awareness of Wikipedia as a powerful tool.
To develop articles on gender & environment related issues
