This Wikimania page is inactive and kept for historical interest. If you want to get the latest news on the coming Wikimania, or join the discussion of its planning, you may visit the conference's official website.

These announcements are intended for distribution at the local village pumps, mailing lists or community portals (according to the customs of the project). Draft your own

Please feel free to draft an invitation to Wikimania in your own language. Use the announcements in other languages or the information on the wikimania website as inspiration, describe what's planned for the conference, where people can register for it and how to submit a presentation and where to add their own ideas for the conference.

Things which should be mentioned in the invitation:

• Invite to wikimania, conference from 4th to 8th august in frankfurt am main, germany
• You can register now for the conference at http://wikimania.wikimedia.org. Online registration for a reduced fee will be possible until 1st July. We strongly encourage everyone to register online as soon as possible so that we can plan better
• encourage people to submit presentations and practical workshops, more info on http://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/Call_for_papers
• conference will be multilingual, submissions and workshops in english are encouraged, but other languages are possible, too
• travel groups or any other particular plans for the conference can be organized at the wikimania pages on Meta-Wiki: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania
