After submission, each report will receive comments and clarifying questions from WMF Staff within 30 days. The GAC may also provide additional comments and questions during this period. Note that it may take longer than 30 days to accept a report if additional information is requested.

  • It is critical that each grantee engage actively in the reporting and report review process. WMF will consider a grantee's engagement in the reporting and report review process when evaluating future requests. Active engagement consists of responding to comments, questions, and requests from WMF and the GAC on the discussion page of the report in a timely manner and providing all information requested.
  • Criteria for accepting a grant report: WMF does not consider the success or failure of a project when reviewing grant reports, but rather focuses on the quality of information provided in the report and the level of insight the grantee is able to provide. Reports must be complete and accurate in order to be accepted, and WMF must receive appropriate documentation (see above) before accepting a report. Reports will not be accepted unless the grantee responds to WMF's and the GAC's requests for information.
  • Reports are not considered complete until WMF Project and Events Grants Program Staff changes the status of the report to Accepted. WMF may request additional information even after accepting a report, and a report may be moved to Incomplete if the grantee does not respond to requests for additional information.
