Our Community

The Tyap Wikimedians User Group belongs to the greater Wikimedia movement, which comprises a global, energetic community of volunteers from the Nenzit region of the Nigerian Middle Belt who believe in and promote access to the sum of all human knowledge. Through shared vision, our volunteering members actively contribute to Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia, Wiktionary, Wikimedia Incubator, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata, Wikifunctions, Wikivoyage, and other sister projects, and participate in events associated with them, to improve and enrich them with high-quality content, reliable information, and free media, especially those related to the Nenzit (Central Nigerian) region where diverse languages are spoken.

Our group engages in both in-person and online sessions to accommodate everyone, no matter where they are located, through events, workshops, outreaches, and audio and photo walk campaigns. We encourage you to participate in and share our content with your friends and relatives so that more people can benefit from our knowledge projects!

Our vision is to make access to knowledge limitless, especially the knowledge of our environment, as well as that of all human communities. Come join us, let us make this knowledge freely accessible with your edits, media uploads, and/or donations.

How to Participate
