Vad röstar vi om?

The three documents on the UCoC are reviewed annually for potential modifications. According to the Charter the U4C "shall closely monitor the Foundation safety perception surveys, its own caseload trends, and feedback from community self-governance processes to identify challenges to the effective self-governance of communities to enforce the UCoC. Concerns identified shall be publicly documented on the U4C’s noticeboard, addressed as merited, or tabled during the annual UCoC & EG review." And the Enforcement Guidelines (EG) state that "Based on the Board of Trustees' recommendation, one year after the ratification of the Enforcement Guidelines, the Wikimedia Foundation will host a community consultation and review of the UCoC Enforcement Guidelines and UCoC." Changes to the UCoC need to be ratified by the Board of Trustees.

Varför bör jag rösta?

It is important that the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee ("U4C") works well with existing community governance structures and reflects community values. As such, it is important that the UCoC continue to reflect community values and to ensure the U4C is best-positioned to protect communities.

Hur man röstar

En mockup av SecurePoll-röstningsrollen. Vänligen observera att votewiki kan låta ge sken av att du inte är inloggad. Din röst kommer att räknas i alla fall.

Please read this section before you go to SecurePoll to learn helpful information to make your voting experience go smoothly.

The ballot will display each of the five proposed changes, and offer two options for each: "Oppose" and "Support".

  • I rutan benämnd "Kommentar" kan du lämna kommentarer om eventuella problem du upplever angående de föreslagna riktlinjerna.
  • SecurePoll will then notify you that your vote has been recorded.
  • You can re-vote in the election. It overwrites your previous vote. You can do this as many times as you like.

How will the voting outcome be determined?

A threshold of above 60% support of participating users will be required for a change proposal to pass.

Will people outside the Wikimedia Foundation be involved in scrutinizing the vote to verify authenticity?

The outcome of the vote will be scrutinized for irregularities by non-staff Wikimedians with experience in movement voting and verification processes. Vote scrutineers will be announced soon.
