  • I do agree with my colleagues here that local communities seem to be able to respond to incivility issues, but given that this has escalated to a cross-wiki issue I do think some parts of it are within our jurisdiction.   • So, from what I gather... User:囍鵲 has been blocked on zhwikisource (and zhwiki and Meta) for various reasons including generally being incivil. The filer does not believe the zhwikisource block is for long enough, so is coming here to ask that it be extended? I'm not sure that this is in scope for the U4C, nor do I want us to be the place for this kind of granular block review. Particularly as the user has been blocked, I do not see a systemic failure to apply the UCoC here, nor do I see a UCoC enforcement action that is being credibly appealed, leading me to vote decline. Note that given the pattern of behaviour here, a global block may be appropriate, and you could ask at SRG. – Ajraddatz (talk) 01:44, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • The blocking procedure was followed correctly, even if in my opinion the block was too short for constant bad behaviour. With constant bad behaviour i would recommend escalating block durations when it is repeated: 3 days, then a week, then two weeks, etc., in order to raise the cost of continuing. The procedure was correct, therefore I don't see an abuse of power. So, in my opinion this isn't in our jurisdiction yet, but should be handled locally.
