U4C member alert: @U4C: Ajraddatz, Barkeep49, BRPever, Civvì, Dbeef, Ghilt, Ibrahim.ID, Jrogers (WMF), Luke081515, Denis Barthel, Ferien. RaptorsFan2019 (talk) 19:44, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
Description of the problem - (RaptorsFan2019)
False sockpuppetry block on Wikimedia Commons ONLY because my account, which was going to make constructive contributions, was suspected to be a sockpuppet of a completely different person. This issue does not apply on any other wikis.
- Are RaptorsFan2019 and Mario662629 the same person? Yes
- Is Luigiluigi7677, the abusive user, the same person as Mario662629 and RaptorsFan2019? No
- Was RaptorsFan2019 making constructive edits and uploads to Wikimedia Commons? Yes
- Was RaptorsFan2019's behavior on Commons the same as Luigiluigi7677's behavior? No
- The sockmaster behind Luigiluigi7677 is believed to be Jermboy27. Is RaptorsFan2019 the same person as Jermboy27? No
Previous attempts at a solution - (RaptorsFan2019)
Mario662629, the account I previously used, kept confessing with the admins on Wikimedia Commons via unblock requests saying that I was not the same person as Luigiluigi7677, but the admins were disagreeing, which caused me to confess. They eventually revoked talk page access on that account, and then I started to confess about the potential need to bring my parents into the conversation. I tried to send an email to Taivo, the blocking administrator, trying to initiate an off-wiki conversation with them, but there was no answer. The sockpuppetry case with Luigiluigi7677 cannot be confirmed because of this situation.
Suggested solutions - (RaptorsFan2019)
- RaptorsFan2019 performing something similar to Wikipedia's 2nd chance on Commons, where I have to demonstrate that I am willing to contribute positively.
- RaptorsFan2019 following Wikipedia's standard offer on Commons, where they wait a while and then contact the admins, promising to avoid the behavior. Once again, the block on Mario662629 is false because they are not the same person as Luigiluigi7677.
- RaptorsFan2019 having an off-wiki discussion with his parents and the Commons administrators to discuss in detail, possibly via email or voice chat, trying to explain the issue in detail and potentially sharing some information about me to confirm my identity being separate from Luigiluigi7677.
