Description of the problem - (Dominikcapuan)
I would like to report a block that I believe is the result of a misunderstanding and a false accusation of sockpuppetry.
My account has recently been blocked on the Turkish Wikipedia (wiki.tr) under the allegation that I am a sockpuppet of another user (aka en:User:Ilovepopandculture). This accusation appears to stem from the fact that I edited a page originally created by that user (en:Mirud (singer)), who had written the initial content using an automatic translator and was subsequently replicating the same page across multiple language editions.
The page in question was part of one of my long-standing reference projects, it:Progetto: Eurovisione. For this reason, before the content was translated and published in additional languages (at the time there were about five versions; today they are almost double), I attempted to improve the earliest versions of the article by fixing formatting issues, structure, and content quality.
This morning I woke up to a notification informing me of the block on wiki.tr, which was also one of the first language where several poorly formatted pages had been created and later deleted. I then discovered that my account had been blocked by Dr. Coal due to the presumed accusation of being a sockpuppet of the page’s original creator.
However, a simple review of the edit history clearly shows that my contributions were largely the opposite of that user’s work. I added most of the reliable sources, verified the information included in the article, and worked to improve its overall accuracy and compliance with editorial standards.
My current concern is that this false accusation — which I am unable to contest directly on wiki.tr, as I have been blocked from accessing all pages, including my own user talk page — may trigger a chain reaction of similar blocks across other language editions. For this reason, I am reporting the incident here.
I firmly believe that I have acted in good faith and have a clear conscience regarding this matter. I hope that, once this misunderstanding is clarified, I will be able to continue contributing to the platform as I have consistently done over the past eight years. -- Dominikcapuan (talk) 14:02, 11 January 2026 (CET)
Previous attempts at a solution - (Dominikcapuan)
I couldn't found any type of solution since I have been blocked from accessing all pages, including my own user talk page. So I coulnd't even had the chance to explain my POV.
Suggested solutions - (Dominikcapuan)
I would like my account on wiki.tr to be reinstated and all references to accusations of sockpuppeting to be permanently removed, in order to avoid chain blocks on other language user pages.

Dr. Coal
These sincere explanations and the information given above is sufficient to unblock the user. I hereby declare that I'm about to unblock the user on trwiki. Sorry for the inconvenience. Dr. Coal (talk) 14:19, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

- @User:Dr. Coal, thanks, that was really quick (and the shortest case in the history of the U4C so far). In the future, I would recommend to not revoke TPA in advance. :-) --Civvì (talk) 14:30, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- You're so right, @Civvì, misunderstandings happen. Sometimes we let our past experiences narrow down our horizons, so revoking TPA was a mistake. Regards,
- Dr. Coal (talk) 14:35, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
