Tell us who you are, why you are applying, and your relevant experience. | My name is Bojan Cvjetković (user:Боки), and I have been a dedicated Wikimedian since 2020. I have written and edited over 1,000 articles on Serbian Wikipedia, focusing primarily on sports, culture, and digital technology. My passion for collaborative knowledge and ethical content creation led me to contribute extensively not only as a content writer but as someone committed to the integrity and inclusiveness of Wikimedia projects.
Outside Wikimedia, I am a professional content strategist. I have over 20 years of experience in digital publishing and translation, including translating the entire Xperteleven.com website from English to Serbian. I’ve worked under strict NDAs with various organizations, always upholding confidentiality, neutrality, and ethics—values I deeply believe align with the Wikimedia movement and the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC). As someone who comes from the CEE region and actively participates in both global and local internet communities, I understand the cultural nuances that often influence interpretation and enforcement of policies like the UCoC. I want to bring that perspective to the Coordinating Committee. |
Please describe what do you hope to do if elected. | If elected, I aim to:
- Strengthen the trust and transparency of UCoC enforcement processes by advocating for clear, community-consulted mechanisms. - Ensure representation of smaller Wikimedia communities like Serbian Wikipedia in global conversations around conduct and safety. - Promote multilingual awareness and accessibility of the UCoC and its guidelines. - Actively listen to community concerns and ensure that enforcement tools do not disproportionately affect marginalized or underrepresented groups. I am committed to a fair, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all Wikimedians. I believe in policies shaped by empathy, data, and dialogue—and I will work to ensure the UCoC Coordinating Committee reflects that spirit. |
