| Tell us who you are, why you are applying, and your relevant experience. | Hello, my name is Mohammed Qays, and I’m from Iraq. I work as a teacher and currently serve as a school principal. I became part of the Wikimedia movement in 2022, and it quickly became a meaningful part of my life. Through contributing articles, I gained valuable experience and grew deeply connected to the mission of free knowledge. Over time, I became an administrator on both Arabic Wikipedia and Wikidata. I’m passionate about supporting the global Wikimedia community—especially the Arabic-speaking community—and I aspire to contribute further through the U4C |
| Please describe what do you hope to do if elected. | If elected, I will handle each case with care and fairness, keeping in mind how complex and sensitive these situations can be. I see the U4C role as a way to support local communities—not replace them—by helping them build better tools to handle issues on their own.
I also want to make the process easier for those who face language or cultural barriers. My goal is to bring practical solutions and a balanced perspective, especially for communities that need more support. |
