Hi! I am Abbad Diraneyya. I have been contributing to Wikipedia since 2007, and have been an admin on the Arabic version for three years, until I requested my resignation (for personal issues). I mostly write long and extensively researched featured content on Arabic Wikipedia, I carefully choose its subjects from stuff that I feel interesting: mostly, it is about astronomy, wildlife or history. I also do a great deal of organizational work in the 'places' where I live. I have been a co-founder of Wikimedia Levant, co-organizer of four versions of Wiki Loves Monuments in two Arab countries, and vice director of [WikiArabia/2016|WikiArabia 2016]] event in Amman. I also had the great pleasure of attending Wikimania twice. Currently, I am studying a bachelor of English Literature and trying to learn my way through German.
I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, but this is my personal account. Edits, statements, or other contributions made from this account are my own, and may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
