5. One of the most helpful Wikimedians I’ve come across. We also had the opportunity to meet in person once, and it was a wonderful experience. Whenever I had questions especially around Commons Aafi was always there to help. I think of him as a “Commons master” because of how effortlessly he guides people through even the most confusing issues. 8. Aafi bhai is one of the most selfless and helpful Wikimedians I have had the privilege of knowing. He has always been willing to share his time, knowledge, and guidance without expecting anything in return. When I doubted myself, he believed in me, and that support meant more than words can express. I've thanked him many times, but it never feels enough. His dedication to Wikimedia, his willingness to help others, and the community he has helped build are truly inspiring. 9. Aafi bhai is one of the first Wikimedians from India I have had the pleasure to e-meet, back in 2025. He has been fundamental to introducing me to the Indian tech community (of which I am now a Videshi member) and also with IIITH-OKI, with whom I then had the pleasure to collaborate, e.g., by virtually mentoring the Hackathon 2026 and India's Software Stories (Wikimania '26). I read his Diff blog posts from time to time, like the one about digital certifications for Wikimedia meetups, which I'm eager to adapt for future events in Italy. On top of this, I suspect he is rather knowledgeable in Urdu poetry too. So, since I certainly don't want to be outdone, let me share this sher:

   فرد قائم ربطِ ملت سے ہے، تنہا کچھ نہیں — موج ہے دریا میں اور بیرونِ دریا کچھ نہیں

   The individual exists through bond with the community alone; apart from the collective, one's value is unknown. A wave belongs within the river's flow; Beyond the river's grasp, it has no presence to show.
