Software Developer / Systems Engineer, Wikimedia Foundation
Imagine a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge. That, my friends, is a revolution.
I'm a sporadic contributor to the Greek language projects. I also have occasionally codged together bots, scripts and MediaWiki extensions for crunching data for the Greek Wiktionary.
I work for the Foundation as an ops-dev with a specific focus on our XML dumps, with a side interest in translation. I'm starting to investigate machine learning techniques, for fun. Oooh and, offline readers! Hit me up if you're interested in any of these things.
Disclaimer: I work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I try to use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
You can reach me on IRC in the various mediawiki channels (user name apergos) or you can leave a message on my primary user page.
If you see this page somewhere other than Metawiki, you might be looking at an old or outdated version. Just fyi.
