The Gàidhlig noun "buaidh" means victory, triumph, and success.
The Wikimedian Buaidh is a public advocate for liberal democracy, egalitarianism, environmental protection and conservation biology; a retired Professional Engineer and Expert Witness, a pioneer coder, an amateur historian and geographer, a rosarian, cartophile, velophile, decorated and disabled combat veteran, cancer survivor (so far), and loveable (?) curmudgeon. Despite a lethal and incurable illness, I still rank among the 200 most prolific Wikipedians by number of edits to the English-language Wikipedia.
